Yacht Insurance Coverage Highlights
U.S. Insurance Services offers broad coverages for yachters.
Hull
Agreed Value Coverage with Replacement Cost on partial losses. Payment is made without depreciation for machinery up to and including seven years old for outboards, 10 years old for other gas-powered motors and other machinery, or 12 years old for diesels.
Tenders & Dinghies
Automatically includes small tender coverage an ACV basis with a $250 deductible. Tenders can also be scheduled on an Agreed Value basis.
Land Transit
Yachts can be trailered anywhere in the U.S. or Canada without a mileage limit, subject to navigational restrictions. Transit by commercial carriers is limited to a 300-mile radius unless approved by the company.
Marine Electronics
All marine electronics are subject to a $500 deductible.
Protection & Indemnity
Provides named insured’s liability protection for bodily injury, property damage and pollution. Includes coverage for Federal Longshoremen's and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act. Provides incidental coverage for injuries to crew you temporarily employ (up to 15 days) on your yacht who fall under general maritime law (Jones Act).
Uninsured Boaters
Protects you and your guests for bodily injury damages if an uninsured boater injures you. Coverage is included with the Protection & Indemnity limit.
Towing
Coverage starting at $500 with no deductible. Higher limits available.
Special Coverages
Specialized endorsements enhancing standard coverages are available.
